GD sedan dry carbon roof ('02-'07 Impreza/WRX/STI)

Dry carbon full replacement roof panel for the GD chassis Subaru Impreza/wrx/STI. This panel is reinforced with a unique "spine and rib" shaped divinycell foam core structure that is sandwiched between the layers of high strength aerospace grade 12K carbon fiber to add stiffness front to back and left to right while achieving the lowest weight possible at 6lbs. 5oz.. When installed on a fully caged and gusseted race car with all three steel roof supports removed along with the roof this gives you a weight savings of over 19lbs from the highest point of the car for an improved COG. Significant weight savings can still be achieved by replacing the steel roof of a street car, but it is strongly advised to keep the horizontal roof supports in place for safety and chassis rigidity. While these panels are made with the same UV stable epoxy resin as the rest of our parts, the roof panels are shipped without being clear coated due to the more involved installation required. It is recommended to either clear coat or vinyl wrap these roofs after install to protect them from the weather as well as an added UV protection.
